While saas-bahu sagas continue to rule the television world, several new concepts were also loved by the viewers. However, the shelf-life of a TV show these days is not guaranteed which is why not just one or two but several shows were down in a very small span of time.
The first four months of 2025 has seen 9 TV shows going off-air due to low ratings and several other reasons.
1. Deewaniyatt
Cockcrow and Shaika Entertainment’s show Deewaniyatt starred Vijayendra Kumeria, Kritika Singh Yadav and Navneet Malik in the lead roles. The show kickstarted with a bang last year in November and went off-air in January this year. It only aired 79 episodes.
2. Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua
It starred Akshit Sukhija and Aditi Tripathi in the lead roles. The show which aired on Star Plus had a good run for several months. It hit the small screens in July last year and bid adieu to the viewers in February. Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua completed 215 episodes.
3. Iss Ishq Ka… Rabb Rakha
The show starring Fahmaan Khan and Sonakshi Batra premiered on the small screen in September last year. The show got popular with time and viewers also appreciated Fahmaan and Sonakshi’s on-screen pairing. However, as per reports, the show’s TRPs declined with time which is why the makers decided to pull the plug. Iss Ishq Ka… Rabb Rakha went off-air in April.
4. Maati Se Bandhi Dor
Ankit Gupta and Dikha Thakur starrer show Maati Se Bandhi Dor had a good run for several months on the small screens. While the viewers appreciated the show’s storyline for a few months but as time passed by, the show failed to connect to the viewers which saw a huge decline in TRPs. The makers finally decided to wrap up the show in February.
5. Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye
Sriti Jha and Arjit Taneja’s show has received lots of love from the viewers. They fondly refer to them as AmVira. Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye had a good run on small screens from November 2023 till now. The show is scheduled to go off-air in May.
6. Suman Indori
Ashnoor Kaur and Zain Imam’s drama series received a great response from the fans. The fresh new pairing worked wonders and entertained the viewers for several months. Suman Indori which launched on Colors TV in September last year has now bid adieu to the viewers in April. The show aired 236 episodes.
7. Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai
The show produced by Zee Studios featured Rajshree Thakur and Yogendra Vikram Singh in the lead roles. Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai aired in January this year and wrapped up within a few months reportedly due to low TRPs. The show aired it’s last episode on 13th April by completing 130 episodes.
8. Durga – Ek Atoot Prem Kahani
Pranali Rathod and Aashay Mishra’s on-screen jodi became a massive hit with this show. The makers left no stone unturned to make the show a must-watch and entertaining for the viewers. However, the TRPs of the show couldn’t be sustained due to low viewership which is why Durga went off-air. The show completed 112 episodes.
9. Apollena – Sapno Ki Unchi Udann
Aditi Sharma and Samarthya Gupta starrer show was praised for its unique concept. The show had a great start and the story also left the viewers impressed. However, the show failed to gain the attention from the viewers which eventually left to the dropping TRPs. It went off-air in March completing 104 episodes.

A lot of shows are produced throughout the year to entertain the viewers. However, there are very few shows which are successful in gaining the viewership and survive on the small screens for several years. With so much competition going on, the makers these days don’t take any chance and quickly take action again TV shows with low TRPs which is why, the first four months of 2025 has seen so many TV shows bidding adieu to the viewers.
