For Shivam Khajuria, acting isn’t just a profession — it’s a way of life. Currently seen in the hit TV show Anupamaa, the actor opens up about his journey in the entertainment industry, the roles that have shaped him, and how he navigates the highs and lows of fame while staying committed to his craft.
From his early days in the television industry, Shivam Khajuria has always strived to push boundaries and reinvent himself. He shares, “With every role, I’ve tried to learn something new. My craft has evolved with time, and the biggest growth has been internal — understanding the psyche of my characters more deeply.” Whether it was his intense roles in earlier daily soaps or his more nuanced performances of late, his ability to connect with his characters has only sharpened.

Ask him about the role closest to his heart, Shivam Khajuria says all his characters have been his favourites. He shares, “I’ve done the TV show Molkki, Mann Sundar, the web series Escaype Live and Modern Love Mumbai. All have been wonderful experiences. I wouldn’t call them landmarks, because in my mind, I feel there is a lot more to come from me. But yes, working with Salman Khan in an ad was quite pleasing.” However, he’s quick to add that Anupamaa has challenged him in new ways and offered immense space for creative growth.
Talking about the kind of scenes he enjoys performing most, Shivam Khajuria reveals, “I’m particularly drawn to intense sequences where the emotional quotient is heightened. Those moments where everything is at stake, the character is breaking down or holding it all together by a thread — they allow me to dig deep and bring out something raw and real. At the same time, I really enjoy slapstick comedy. The timing, the energy, the madness — it’s such a contrast, and I love the switch between the two.”
For Shivam Khajuria, acting isn’t just a profession — it’s a calling. “I love how it allows me to live so many lives. Each character teaches me something, and that process of discovery is magical. When the audience feels what your character feels, there’s no greater reward,” he ends with a smile
