Ashu Sharma, known for his role as Bobby Saluja in Mannat, enters Jamai No. 1 as Pramod Srivastava a character shrouded in mystery.
The actor opens up about managing two shows and playing contrasting roles back-to-back.
Ashu Sharma, best known for his role as Bobby Saluja in Mannat-Har Khushi Paane Ki, has now joined the cast of Jamai No. 1, produced by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah. He will be seen playing Pramod Srivastava, a character that promises to bring suspense and intrigue to the current storyline. Ashu began shooting yesterday, and his track is expected to air tonight.
Shedding light on his new role, Ashu Sharma shares, “The mystery with this character is that he had gone missing for a while and is now returning after a couple of years. I’ll be seen contacting Neel (played by Abhishek Malik) and explaining the events that led to my disappearance. Neel finds me, and that’s where the story unfolds. From what I’ve been told so far, the character looks promising, and I’m really excited to take it on.”
Ashu will also return to Manna after his character—currently behind bars is released. So how will he juggle both shows? “People who know me understand that I’m deeply passionate about my craft. I’m a thorough professional, and I know how to manage two shows at once,” he says with confidence.
Interestingly, he is enjoying the contrast between his roles. “In Mannat-Har Khushi Paane Ki, I play a negative character, while in Jamai No. 1, my role is extremely positive. Actors often get typecast after doing negative parts, so I feel fortunate to be offered such diverse characters in such a short time,” he adds.
Ashu, who has previously appeared in popular shows like Sasural Simar Ka, Kaleerein, Yeh Hai Chahatein, and Tera Yaar Hoon Main, is all set to add depth and drama to Jamai No. 1.
