His entry comes as part of the show’s second significant cast overhaul, just weeks after its launch on June 23. According to insiders, nearly the entire cast including the on-screen family will be written out, with only Hitesh Bharadwaj and Rachi Sharma being retained.

The decision, sources say, is driven by a desire to boost the show’s entertainment quotient and transition to a more episodic format. “Viewer feedback has been promising, and we’re looking to raise the bar,” a production insider told Downtown Mirror Telly. “Episodic storytelling suits the show better. Karanvir Bohra’s entry will add a fresh dynamic to Hitesh’s character, and the developments to follow should keep the audience engaged,” added the source.
This marks the second major shift for Aami Dakini. Originally scheduled to premiere in February, the show underwent changes before launch including a lead replacement. Hitesh Bharadwaj stepped into the lead role after Rohit Chandel, who was initially chosen to headline the show, exited during the pre-launch phase.
Reflecting on his exit, Rohit had then shared with us, “While I’m excited about new projects, I don’t want to get into too many details about Aami Dakini. I shot for about a month in Kolkata and had planned for 130–150 episodes. I’ve fulfilled my commitment and have no regrets. This feels like the right decision for my career.”
With Karanvir Bohra’s arrival, Aami Dakini is poised for a refreshed storyline and new character arcs one the makers hope will capture viewers’ attention and give the show stronger momentum moving forward.
