Renowned photographer, filmmaker, creative director, and KINK 2 producer Luv Israni has built a reputation for crafting stunning visual stories. However, the creative world he thrives in is not without its challenges — long hours, demanding schedules, and the constant push for perfection.
Luv Israni shares, “I always strive to maintain a balance between work and personal life, but given the nature of the industry I am in, it is not always possible to achieve that equilibrium. There are times when the demands of the job are intense that maintaining a work-life balance becomes challenging.”

Recalling his schedule while filming KINK 2 in Vietnam, he reveals just how much effort went into bringing the project to life. Luv Israni says, “I often found myself working for nearly 20 to 22 hours a day. It was exhausting, but when you’re in the middle of creating something that excites you, you don’t count the hours — you just keep going. Even now, as I am involved in the post-production phase of KINK 2, I have been working continuously without any significant breaks. When I am fully committed to a project, there are moments when I find myself working around the clock, sometimes 24/7.”
But despite his dedication, he acknowledges the importance of maintaining a sustainable work routine. “I do not actively promote this kind of work schedule,” he clarifies, adding, “I strongly believe in the importance of rest and personal well-being. That being said, when the nature of my work demands such an intense level of commitment, I have to push myself beyond limits to deliver the best possible outcome.”

When he does find time to unwind, his weekend rituals are all about relaxation. He shares, “Saturday nights are all about Amazon and Netflix — I binge-watch a lot of content. Sundays, on the other hand, are for relaxing — binge-watching, eating, and sleeping.”
His love for storytelling extends beyond filmmaking, as he reveals a parallel passion that he would have pursued had he not been in the world of photography and cinema. “If I weren’t a photographer or filmmaker, I would have been a travel blogger,” Luv Israni reveals and says, “Travel gives me a fresh perspective on life. I absorb everything — food, clothing, language, culture — and it all feeds into my creativity. Every new place I visit adds something unique to my vision.”
Having spent years in the fast-paced entertainment industry, Israni acknowledges that his relentless drive once left little room for anything else. However, with time and guidance, he has embraced a more structured approach to life and credits his business coach, Rajeev Talreja, for helping him shift his mindset. “From him, I have learned that life has multiple aspects, and work is just one part of it and slowing down and structuring life better makes everything more enjoyable,” Luv Israni says.
