“Empowering Girls Will Ultimately Empower the Nation,” Says Haq Actress Paridhi Sharma

Paridhi Sharma advocates for girl child education as she discusses her role in Haq and her work with the School Chalo Abhiyaan. She stresses that empowering girls is key to building a stronger and more equal India.

Best known for her iconic portrayal in Jodha Akbar and recently seen in Haq, actress Paridhi Sharma is using her voice to spotlight causes that deeply matter to her, girl child education, social equality, and compassion in everyday life. Grounded, articulate, and purpose-driven, Paridhi blends her on-screen strength with real-world advocacy, drawing inspiration from individuals who have used their influence for the greater good.

Paridhi recalls how public figures shaped her early perspective on responsibility. “Aishwarya Rai pledging to donate her eyes, Sushmita Sen adopting two girls, these moments impacted me. Such examples make us more human. They remind us of the empathy and responsibility we must have for society,” she shares.

Change Begins At Home

For Paridhi, meaningful change starts in the spaces closest to us. She fondly remembers teaching the daughters of household helpers, describing the joy and sense of purpose the experience brought her. “Every individual can make a difference, and one of the most impactful ways is by helping promote the importance of girls’ education. The way we treat our girls reflects our concern for equality,” she says.

Advocating Through Action

Paridhi’s commitment to the cause deepened when she was appointed brand ambassador for the School Chalo Abhiyaan in Madhya Pradesh. Visiting schools and interacting with young girls and parents gave her a closer look at the systemic gaps in education. The experience left a lasting impact.

“It strengthened my belief that society must unite for this cause,” she adds, emphasising that awareness, access, and compassion must go hand in hand.

A Voice For Girls, On-Screen & Beyond

As she continues to win appreciation for her role in Haq, Paridhi hopes her platform can create conversations that drive change. “The fact that so many young girls remain without proper schooling in 2025 is deeply disturbing. Empowering girls will ultimately empower the nation,” she asserts.

Through her advocacy, public engagements, and genuine desire to uplift the next generation, Paridhi Sharma remains a steady voice for compassion, equality, and social responsibility, on-screen and off.
