Star Plus’ show Jhanak is all set for a small leap and actress Amayra has been roped in to play Hiba Nawab’s onscreen daughter. Read on to know more.
Many TV shows are all set to take leaps to enable freshness in the storylines. Shows like Bhagya Lakshmi and Parineeti will soon take generational leaps. While the same was decided for Star Plus show Jhanak, the buzz is that the show will currently take a small leap. After the leap young kids will join the show.
Downtown Mirror Weekly has exclusively learned that the show is slated for a leap of a few years post which, Jhanak will be shown living her life separately. Child actress Amayra will be seen playing the character of Jhanak’s daughter Savi. Rumor mills have it that Jhanak and Anirudh will not stay together post leap.
A source from the show revealed, “Amayra will be seen playing the character of Jhanak’s daughter Savi. The child actors will add a fresh innocence to the show. Their camaraderie with Krushal (Aniruddh) and Jhanak (Hiba Nawab) will surely be liked by the viewers.”
Earlier in the day, we reported about actress Shiny Doshi being offered Jhanak as the main lead, post generational leap. However, Shiny has put down the offer and exclusively told Downtown Mirror Weekly that she would prefer being a part of a fresh show rather than joining an already established show.”
Shiny said, “I don’t know how the news has spread. I did not even audition for it or did mock shoots. But, yes, I did get a call from a senior Casting Director asking me about the same, but I had to put down the offer because I don’t want to do a show post leap. I’d rather do a comeback on Television with a show that starts with me (chuckles).”
She added, “I love Star Plus and almost all my successful shows are on the same channel. The channel has been lucky for me. I got shows like Saraswati chandra and Pandya Store which went on for years. so, you know that the decision that I made wasn’t easy. It was a tough decision. Jhanak is a very nice show, however, getting a new Star Plus show from the beginning will be like a cherry on the cake.”
We’re sure with Amayra entering Jhanak, the show will get more interesting.
