Anupamaa actor Satya Tiwari who plays the character of Gautam in the show talks about working with Rupali Ganguly, playing a negative role and more.
Actor Satya Tiwari is seen in Star Plus show Anupamaa as Gautam. He plays the multi-layered character of Gautam in the show, who has ulterior motives against Anupamaa as she ruined his married life, according to him. Downtown Mirror Weekly got in touch with Satya and asked him a few questions regarding being a part of the show.
Sharing his working experience with Rupali Ganguly, Satya Tiwari said, “She is a powerhouse of talent.. and when you work with someone like her there is a chance to learn and gain a lot from her craft.”
When asked if he prefers to play a negative or positive character in a project, Satya Tiwari said, “I don’t have that kind of preference for the role. I like to put my heart and soul into the character, that’s it.”
We asked Satya Tiwari about his character Gautam getting hatred from the viewers, he said, “Thank you for mentioning this part … for me it’s an appreciation that people hate Gautam . That’s the whole agenda of the character . For this I would really like to thank Rajan sir for giving me this opportunity to play such a character.”
With Gautam and Prarthana’s track in Anupamaa, the show highlighted the issues of marital rape and domestic abuse. Talking about the same, Tiwari added, “It’s a reflection of the society which the society does not want to address completely. If you observe , the show mostly states the problems of the society and how to resolve them with a pinch of cinematic liberty.”
Talking about the feedback from fans, Satya Tiwari said, “So far , people have loved the performance, especially my senior team members.. I always ask Rajan sir , Romesh sir , Abhay sir and our creative team for the feedback and if these people are satisfied then I too feel the same.”
