In an exclusive chat with Downtown Mirror Weekly, Udne Ki Aasha actor Purru spoke at length about the show’s success, bond with co-star Kanwar Dhillon and more.
Udne Ki Aasha is one of the most loved TV shows on the tube currently. The show has surprised everyone with its gripping storyline and has received immense love from the viewers which made the show rank number 1 in the TRP charts, dethroning the popular show Anupamaa from the top spot.
Downtown Mirror Weekly got in touch with actor Purru who is seen in the show as Tejas Deshmukh, Sachin’s (Kanwar Dhillon) brother. In a chat with us, the talented actor revealed about his bond with Kanwar Dhillon and more.
Talking about the same, Purru said, “My first impression of him was quite chill. Like me, he is also a Punjabi boy, so it was quite chill but our bond has evolved a lot. We have become good friends; we aren’t the best of friends, but whenever we are onset and we’re doing our scenes, we have this chemistry which is amazing. The respect we have for each other is mutual and that’s the best thing about it. We’re like the Tom and Jerry of our show, so it’s fun to work with him.”
We asked Purru if he expected the show to be such a successful venture, he said, “Well, I don’t think much about the outcome, results and TRPs before signing the show. I believe in doing the hard work and not worrying about the numbers.”
When asked about his favorite track from Udne Ki Aasha until now, Purru quipped, “I love all the family scenes. It is quite entertaining and exciting when all of us are together. Especially in weird comedy situations. I love all such tracks.”
When asked about what’s in the store for the viewers of the show, Purru said, “Udne Ki Aasha has always delivered content that’s quite relatable to the viewers and the upcoming tracks will be no different. Many new twists and turns are in store for the audiences and I hope they like them all.”
Purru (Puru Chibber) is known for his impressive acting chops in TV shows like Sab Satrangi, Khotey Sikkey, Pavitra Rishta and Beintehaa among others.
