Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’s Ayush Sanjeev: There’s So Much Discipline And Professionalism On The Set

Marathi actor Ayush Sanjeev, who recently made his Hindi television debut with Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, took on a bold new challenge by stepping into his first-ever negative role. He opens up about the creative freedom on set and the respect Marathi actors enjoy in the industry.

When Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin took a major turn in its storyline, Downtown Mirror Weekly was the first to exclusively reveal that Marathi actor Ayush Sanjeev would be joining the cast—adding a fresh twist to the beloved show. The role marked not only his debut in Hindi television but also his first time portraying a negative character.

Ayush Sanjeev, widely recognized for his lead roles in successful Marathi shows like Boss Majhi Ladachi and 36 Guni Jodi, had previously turned down several offers to play positive characters in Hindi serials, as he was eager to explore a darker shade as an actor.

A few weeks into his journey on the show, Ayush opens up about the experience. “It feels wonderful to be part of this show. There’s an impressive level of discipline and professionalism on set—I’m enjoying every moment,” Ayush Sanjeev says.

What adds to his satisfaction is the creative freedom he’s been granted. Ayush Sanjeev shares, “After my first scene, Jafar Shaikh sir, our director, appreciated my performance and gave me full liberty. He told me, ‘This is the lighted area—do whatever you want. Imagine you’re performing on stage.’ That encouragement really boosted my confidence.”

Ayush Sanjeev also credits the legacy of Marathi actors in paving the way for opportunities like this. He says, “There’s great respect for Marathi actors because of our theatre background. I feel ki mujhe mere seniors ne jo kiya hai uska phal mil raha hai. The image they’ve built is so strong that perhaps, after just one scene, the team saw potential in me and gave me the space to explore the character further.”

As he dives deeper into the role of the antagonist Maruti, Ayush Sanjeev is carving a space for himself with a mix of talent, training, and fearless creativity.

Meanwhile, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin recently welcomed back Bhavika Sharma, who had stepped away from the show in February to make way for Vaibhavi Hankare. Amid TRPs declining, the production team decided to bring back fan-favorite actress in hopes of reconnecting with the audience. The show currently stars Param Singh in the lead male role, bringing depth and charisma to the storyline.
