Actor Harleen Reikhi is overwhelmed with gratitude as her spiritual television show Kaamdhenu Gaumata is returns to television, this time on DD National, allowing the series to reach homes across India and abroad.
Originally aired on Star Bharat, the show — produced by veteran creators Prem Sagar and Shiv Sagar under their banner Sagar World Multimedia — features 52 episodes and holds a special emotional and spiritual significance for the actor.
Sharing her feelings, Harleen Reikhi said, “I feel really blessed and deeply touched by God’s grace. To portray such a powerful and emotional character is not something that happens every day. I feel truly moved.”

Reflecting on her journey, she added, “When I first took on the role, I felt I was half-baked in some ways, but Prem sir’s vision and guidance shaped everything beautifully. It was a very touching experience, and I absolutely loved being part of it.”
Harleen believes the depth of storytelling is what sets Kaamdhenu Gaumata apart. “The way Sagar World Multimedia has written characters that are passed on from generation to generation is something I really admire. There’s a sense of continuity, responsibility, and purpose.”
She emphasised that the role brought with it a profound sense of duty. “The responsibility of portraying Kamdhenu Gaumata is even greater than the joy of playing the character. It has truly elevated me as an actor.”

Adding further, Harleen Reikhi shared her thoughts on the show’s reach and her growth as an artist. “To portray a character is a responsibility and I feel it should also be released on Amazon Prime, Jio, Hotstar and reach many more homes. I love when fans repost the episodes and tag me.
I don’t feel mythology has typecast me — in fact, it has evolved me. An actor should explore all mediums and genres. I have also done positive and negative roles, so it has been a mix of everything. I hope to come across more good opportunities and have a brighter future for myself.”
Calling the experience a blessing, Harleen Reikhi concluded, “I genuinely love Kamdhenu Gaumata. The character, the writing, and the values it carries have left a lasting impact on me.”
