From packed restaurants to coaching plans, the “Laughter Chef of India” is cooking up much more than just food.
Celebrity chef Harpal Singh Sokhi is no stranger to attention but his latest stint as the resident judge on Laughter Chefs: Unlimited Entertainment has taken his popularity to a whole new level. With his infectious energy and signature style, Sokhi has not just won hearts he’s seen a tangible boost to his business.
Already known to fans as the “Energy Chef,” the “Namak Shamak Chef,” and the “Dancing Chef of India,” Sokhi now carries yet another moniker with pride-The Laughter Chef of India. “It brings immense pride,” he says with a smile. He adds, “It’s not just about cooking anymore it’s about connecting, entertaining, and inspiring.”
While Sokhi’s restaurant chain Karigiri was launched four years ago well before his appearance on Laughter Chefs the show has undeniably worked wonders for footfall.
Harpal Singh Sokhi shares, “Our analytics clearly show a direct impact. People are walking into the restaurants because they’ve watched the show. They even expect to see dishes from the episodes on our menus and we’re working on it!”
But Chef Sokhi isn’t stopping there. With eyes on the future, he’s cooking up some big plans.
“More restaurants are definitely in the pipeline,” he reveals, adding, “I also want to create a robust digital platform for online culinary coaching. Coaching celebrities on Laughter Chef made me realize I’m actually a pretty good coach!”
