International Women's Day Special: Five Strong On-Screen Women Who Taught Us To Never Give Up

It’s International Women’s Day on March 8, a day to celebrate women all around the world, and a reminder to create an empowering society for women. Though the society has progressed in terms of women and their rights, it still has a long way to go, but this continuous effort to keep going will only be possible if women don’t give up. While there are such women around us, there are few examples on the small screen too who are a source of inspiration and have made women believe that no matter what, one should never lose hope and focus on their goal.

Here are five female characters from the TV industry who have portrayed determination, resilience, and strength in an inspiring way:

Anupama (Rupali Ganguly) from Anupamaa:

Anupama, a middle-aged woman who practically started her life after her husband cheated on her with his colleague.
