We’ve had quite a successful Horror Comedy Universe, thanks to Dinesh Vijan and team, and while Stree 2 was a historic success, breaking one record after the other, it is now time for Thama. The movie will feature Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles and is currently in production, looking at a Diwali 2025 release.
And now, reports in Pinkvilla have it that Thama is going to add a world for vampires to this horror-comedy universe. The report further added that director Aditya Satpodar is currently working with Vijay to shoot for one of the biggest sequences of the universe to date, and it’s happening at a grand studio.

The report further stated that team Thama has created a grand set of multiple locations, and it spans over 5 acres at a spot in Mumbai. The team is now looking at a massive action sequence that will feature Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya and Ayushmann Khurrana’s vampire. Now that we’ll see a werewolf vs vampire conflict for the very first time in this universe, things are sure to shape up well, and fans have a lot to see.
The report further stated that Varun and Ayushmann have both been at the shoot, and it will be an action-packed sequence that will be quite a spectacle.
Meanwhile, one can expect VD to have a stunning cameo in the show, while everyone on the team has put together quite a visual and expensive sequence. In addition, it is going to be a grand cinema for all the right reasons, including the scale of the movie, the visuals, and the work that VFX artists, including some international experts, will be doing.
As for Thama, it is going to be the build-up to Bhediya 2 and is going to move the timeline forward in the Horror Comedy Universe, and who knows, we’ll see more characters too. Meanwhile, it’s also been reported that with Chamunda and Shakti Shalini, actresses Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani may also be joining the universe.
It’s time for a visual spectacle that’s beyond all the films we’ve seen so far in this universe!
