Former Bigg Boss contestant Manu Punjabi defends Tanya Mittal after her repeated criticism on Weekend Ka Vaar, calling out Amaal Mallik’s unfair behaviour and standing up for Tanya’s loyalty.
His strong words have reignited debate about bias and friendship dynamics in the Bigg Boss 19 house.
In the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, contestant Tanya Mittal once again faced harsh criticism from host Salman Khan, a pattern that fans say has repeated over the past few weeks. However, viewers were quick to point out the apparent imbalance in questioning, noting that while Tanya was grilled repeatedly, Amaal Mallik’s comment calling her “kutta” during the live feed wasn’t addressed at all. This perceived one-sidedness has triggered debate online, with many calling the treatment unfair.
Former Bigg Boss contestant and popular reviewer Manu Punjabi has now spoken up in Tanya’s defense. Taking to social media, he strongly condemned the way she was treated and highlighted her loyalty and contributions inside the house, especially in her bond with Amaal.
Manu said, “Amaal sir, Tanya not only picked out your clothes but even ironed them and made sure everything was ready for you, that’s how much effort she put into your comfort. Jitni cheeze thi, aur aap jis tarike se uske saath behaviour kar rahe ho na boss, aap kabhi uske dost nahi the. Lakh buraiyan ho Tanya ke andar, chahe woh jhooth bolti ho, lekin Tanya Mittal ne tere saath game ke liye hi sahi, tere saath 100% positive hi kiya hai na bhai.” (Amaal sir, Tanya ironed your clothes and helped you—yet your behavior towards her shows you were never her true friend. Whatever Tanya’s flaws, she always stood by you with full sincerity.)
He continued, “Iss ghar mein kya kya zarurat hoti hai? Kapde tumhare liye usne kar diye, khana tumhare liye usne kar diya, bartan tumhare liye usne kar diya. Champi usne tumhare liye kar di, kahaniya sunayi, aur har waqt tumhare defence mein rahi.”
Defending Tanya’s intentions, Manu added, “Arey bro, lekin tujhe toh uske saath bura nahi karna tha… Tanya samjha rahi hai bar bar Farhana ko… sabki help karne wali—aise left out karke kone mein toh mat feko yaar.”
He concluded by condemning the harsh remarks: “Not appreciated… ‘2 chaate marke kaam karwata’, Tanya ko mat bol haina. Naye dost kya mil gaye, purane doston ki aukaat hi bhool gaye.” (Don’t say such things to Tanya. Just because you’ve made new friends, don’t forget those who stood by you earlier.)
Manu’s support has sparked a wave of empathy online, with fans rallying behind Tanya and demanding fair treatment for her inside the house.
