Where Inspiration Meets Innovation
Q1. Aria, music can be very personal. How do you connect with the songs you sing and make them your own?
AM. For me, music is all about tonality and intention. Every note, lyric, or phrasing carries meaning, whether it’s literal or emotional. When I perform, I try to express different sides of myself. By doing that, I naturally make each song my own.
Q2. “Made in India” is such a powerful celebration of identity and music. What inspired you to bring this song to life, and what does it personally mean to you?
AM. Originally, I wanted to create a Bollywood-inspired love song, infused with my R&B and pop style, something that bridges the East and the West. But as I began writing, I realised it wasn’t about a boy at all, it was about my mom. She introduced me to my Indian culture, and she truly was “Made in India.” This song became a tribute to her and to the roots that shaped me.
Q3. You’ve worked with the renowned producer Rishi Rich on this track. How was that experience, and what kind of creative chemistry did you share?
AM. Working with Rishi was an absolute honor. I’ve listened to his work since childhood, so to collaborate with him felt surreal. He completely understood the vision, blending Indian instruments and culture into the song while keeping it fresh, global, and true to both our styles.
Q4. You’re admired for being both a strong performer and a role model for young artists. What advice would you give to aspiring singers who dream of reaching an international stage?
AM. Find your niche, something that represents you and stay authentic to it. Perform with good intentions, stay loyal to your heart, and dream ten times bigger than you think you can. That mindset will take you further than you ever imagined.
Q5. Every successful career is built on dedication. What were some of the toughest challenges you faced early on, and how did you push through them?
AM. When I began making music professionally, I was still in public school full-time. I’d fly to LA on weekends for sessions and go straight to class from the airport on Monday mornings. Balancing AP classes, college applications, and the usual high school chaos wasn’t easy. But I learned that every sacrifice shapes who you become and I wouldn’t change a single thing about that journey.
Q6. You’re now making waves globally. How does it feel to see your music reaching audiences around the world at such a young age?
AM. It feels incredible and honestly surreal. Seeing people connect with my music, from the comments to the messages, reminds me that music isn’t about numbers, it’s about emotion. Knowing that my songs resonate with others inspires me to keep growing as an artist and as a person.
Q7. How do you balance your personal life, college, and your busy music career?
AM. Time management is everything. You can do anything you set your heart to if you stay disciplined and responsible. Back in school, my biggest sacrifice was sleep, but now I’ve centered my life around music and finally get a proper amount of rest (laughs).
Q8. What message would you like to give to other young aspiring singers who look up to you?
AM. Keep singing. It might sound simple, but consistency is everything. There’s no handbook on how to become a global pop star, it’s about taking one step, one connection, one risk at a time. The more you practice your craft, the more you grow.
Q9. Who has been the biggest support behind your journey?
AM. My mom, she’s my rock, my anchor, and my biggest supporter. She believed in me from day one, gave me every opportunity to explore my passion, and even moved to LA with me to make sure I’m safe and focused. I owe so much of who I am today to her.
Q10. Finally, being featured in Fitvilla Magazine is a big milestone. How does it feel to be recognized in this way?
AM. I’m truly honoured. It means so much that Fitvilla wants to share my story with a global audience. It reminds me that hard work really does pay off and motivates me to keep going.
Thank you so much for the opportunity!
