The summons comes after accused Salim Shaikh named Orry and several other celebrities in his statement to investigators.
Mumbai Police Anti-Narcotics Cell have summoned social media influencer Orry (Orhan Awatramani) for questioning in connection with the ₹252 crore mephedrone (MD) drug case. The summons comes after accused Salim Shaikh, arrested earlier in the case, named Orry and several other celebrities in his statement to investigators.
According to police sources, Shaikh alleged that Orry shares close ties with Alishah Parkar, nephew of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, and claimed that Orry consumes drugs and attends parties where narcotics are used. Based on these allegations, the Anti-Narcotics Cell has directed Orry to appear at its Ghatkopar unit today to record his statement.
Investigators revealed that those involved in the drug network used encrypted and social platforms such as Zengi, Signal, Trima, Instagram, and FaceTime to coordinate transactions between suppliers and buyers. The police are now examining digital evidence to trace the communication chain and identify further links in the syndicate.
The ₹252 crore case, one of the largest drug seizures in Mumbai in recent years, has already led to multiple arrests. Authorities are preparing to summon additional Bollywood personalities and political figures named in Shaikh’s testimony as the probe expands.
This development marks a significant turn in the investigation, as the involvement of high-profile names could widen the scope of scrutiny and intensify public attention on the case.
