After the 20-year leap in Colors’ daily soap Parineetii, Paras Kalnawat steps in as the new male lead, Aditya. Having previously joined Kundali Bhagya after a generational leap, the actor says he’s ready to carry the legacy forward with pride and pressure alike.
Colors TV’s beloved drama Parineetii has entered an exciting new phase with a major 20-year generational leap, marking a fresh start for the storyline. Pratikssha Honmukhe and Paras Kalnawat now headline the show as the new leads. While Pratikssha plays the role of Neeti’s (Tanvi Dogra) daughter, Paras essays the character of Aditya.
Interestingly, this marks the second time Paras has joined a show after a generational leap, the first being Kundali Bhagya.
Paras Kalnawat shares, “Yes, this is the second time I’ve entered a show after a generational leap. Of course, it comes with a sense of responsibility, especially because I’ve joined a show that already has an established legacy. This is also the second time I’m stepping into a show that has been on air for several years.
Parineetii is already very popular, and that definitely pushes me to maintain the high standards it has achieved. It’s both exciting and challenging. I have to give my best because I want to preserve everything this show has built so far. My goal is to rise to every occasion and uphold its legacy with dedication and heart.”
The actor further adds, “I also want to make a place for Aditya in everyone’s heart. That excites me even more and pushes me to do justice to this part. Fingers crossed! I’m excited for this new journey and truly believe I’ll make everyone proud. I’m excited to embrace all that this amazing opportunity has to offer.”
When asked about the deciding factor behind taking up Parineetii, Paras Kalnawat says the choice was obvious. “The key factor for me was, of course, Balaji Telefilms and Colors. What else could be a more perfect combination? I’ve worked with both before, so doing Parineetii genuinely felt like coming back home. Nothing could be better than picking a project as solid as this. So it was a no-brainer—I didn’t even have to think twice,” he concludes.
Parineetii originally revolved around the deep bond between two best friends, Parineet Kakkar and Neeti Juneja, portrayed by Anchal Sahu and Tanvi Dogra. The storyline took a dramatic turn when fate led both women to marry the same man, Rajeev Bajwa (Ankur Verma), without either of them knowing the truth.
