Paras Madaan, who is part of the ongoing family drama Pocket Mein Aasmaan, reflects on the invaluable role theatre has played in shaping his career this World Theatre Day. In an exclusive conversation with Downtown Mirror Weekly, Paras reminisces about his early days in the theatre scene.

Paras Madaan believes theatre has had a profound influence on the entertainment world. “It has been the stepping stone for countless actors, writers, and directors. Through theatre, the entertainment industry has learned the importance of storytelling, character development, and emotional depth. It’s the perfect breeding ground for experimentation and creativity, which spills over into films and television.”

He adds, “Theatre isn’t just art; it’s a mirror to society, a space for critique, reflection, and change. It’s crucial we preserve it, so future generations can feel the magic of live performances and grasp their cultural significance.”

Its ongoing presence in cities everywhere is proof of its enduring power.”

As he yearns to return to his theatrical roots, he confesses, “I’d love to get back on stage. The rush of performing live, the instant feedback from the audience, and the challenge of bringing a character to life on stage – there’s nothing like it.”
