People Now Want Something They Can Feel, Not Just Swipe Past- Jahnavi Soni

Paro Sang Dev Actress Jahnavi Soni, feels the digital world is at an interesting turning point. Speaking about how audiences are reacting to social media today, she says, “Yes, to some extent, I do feel the audience’s interest is shifting. Earlier, every scroll felt new and exciting, but now, it feels like we’ve seen it all before. When creativity starts becoming a formula, people naturally disconnect.”

Reflecting on the repetitive nature of trends, she adds, “I wouldn’t say social media has completely lost its spark, but originality has definitely faded. Everyone wants to go viral, so people copy what’s already worked. But the spark returns whenever someone does something different, something honest.”

As someone who also uses social media professionally, Jahnavi admits that the pressure to follow trends is real. “There’s always this thought that if you don’t follow a trend, you’ll get left behind. But I try to balance it. If something fits my personality or mood, I’ll do it. If not, I skip it. Staying true to myself matters more than chasing numbers,” she explains.

Talking about user fatigue, Jahnavi shares that scrolling now often feels more exhausting than entertaining. “The genuine bond between creators and audiences has become a little distant. But we can bring that back with more mindful use,” she believes.

On keeping her own content authentic, Jahnavi says, “I try to post what feels right instead of what’s trending. When you enjoy creating something, it automatically feels fresh.”

Looking ahead, she sums it up beautifully, “Social media isn’t disappearing, it’s transforming. People now want something they can feel, not just swipe past. Maybe it’s time the digital space becomes real again.”
