Emraan Hashmi underwent a total physical and mental metamorphosis in order to properly tell the story and wear the uniform. “One of the hardest and most humbling experiences of my career was getting ready to play an army commander and BSF commandant. These individuals have a sense of duty while working in the most hostile environments and in continual danger.
To adopt their mindset, I had to undergo months of physical training, adhere to a rigorous diet and completely change my daily schedule. Earning the uniform was more important than simply donning it. I wanted to honour that with full authenticity because of what they do for our country, which is beyond extraordinary,” Emraan Hashmi says.
