Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s new film after Animal, ‘SPIRIT,’ starring Prabhas officially began its first shooting schedule today, following a muhurat ceremony. The project, which pairs Prabhas with actor Triptii Dimri, marks the start of filming for the much-anticipated action drama.
The muhurat ceremony was attended by veteran actor Chiranjeevi as a special guest. Producers Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Pranay Reddy Vanga of Bhadrakali Pictures were also present as the crew began its cinematic journey.

The film is set to be a multi-language action entertainer. Prabhas is reported to be playing the role of an IPS officer, a first for the actor in a completely dedicated role. Earlier audio glimpses from the makers suggested a character with a complex personality, indicated by the line, “Right from childhood, I have one bad habit.”
Triptii Dimri, who previously collaborated with director Vanga and T-Series on the successful film Animal, takes on the female lead role. Earlier, Deepika Padukone was supposed to play the female lead but the actress and the makers parted ways due to some differences.
The cast also includes actors Vivek Oberoi and Prakash Raj in important roles. Raj is speculated to be portraying a jailer, based on dialogue from the film’s earlier promotional sound teaser, whereas Oberoi is speculated to play the antagonist in the film. Veteran actress Kanchana will also feature in the film.
SPIRIT’ will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and select foreign languages. The film is currently scheduled for a 2026 release.
