Rachi Sharma & Hitesh Bhardwaj Open Up About Upcoming Horror Drama On Sony TV, Aami Dakini

Sony TV is back with another horror series, yes, the same channel known for the iconic show, Aahat. In an attempt to redefine the genre, the channel is now all set for another show, titled Aami Dakini. The reports around this show have been circulating for a while now, but the confirmation has come in just today.

Aami Dakini is supposed to be a mix of not just horror but also mystery and drama and will be set up in the city of Kolkata. Hitesh Bhardwaj plays the role of Ayaan Roy Choudhary, while Rachi Sharma plays the role of Meera Ghosh. The fun? Well, Ayaan does not believe in the concept of the supernatural, but ti all changes when his life seems to be at stake by a vengeful spirit.

Meera, meanwhile, is naive, but she’s also fearless. She thinks she is the family’s protector, and that’s the ideology she follows in life.

Talking about his role, Hitesh, in a statement, said that Ayaan is not like any character he has played before. He also said how it is the character’s emotional depth as well as the horror backdrop that will make it fun for the viewers to watch the show.

In addition, he also said how the relationship between Ayaan and Meera kickstarts on a rather unexpected note, and as the show moves forward, their bond will be put to the test in a way no one would’ve thought. The actor concluded by saying that it has been an intense but rewarding process, and he is excited for the show.

Rachi Sharma, meanwhile, thinks that it is her character’s innocence that makes her a fresh addition to a horror show like Aami Dakini. She added how while she is innocent, she is no damsel in distress and takes up any challenge that comes her way.

She further reveals how Meera and Ayaan are opposite personalities, which is what adds to the moments between the two. She concluded by saying how she had a great time bringing this character to life.

While the show does sound like an interesting concept and has all layers of horror, drama and a love story brewing, the on-air date for Aami Dakini is yet to be known.
