Rohit Suchanti On Bhagya Lakshmi Going Off Air: “It’s Extremely Unfortunate, But…” – EXCLUSIVE

Rohit Suchanti reacts to Bhagya Lakshmi potentially going off air, calling it unfortunate despite the show’s success. With over 1,350 episodes and four strong years, he reflects proudly on its legacy.

It’s rare for a popular TV show to be suddenly pulled off air, which is why loyal viewers of Bhagya Lakshmi—starring Aishwarya Khare and Rohit Suchanti in the lead roles—are left stunned by the unexpected news of the show coming to an end. Airing on Zee TV, the series was reportedly heading toward a major time leap before the decision was made. According to industry buzz, Bhagya Lakshmi is now slated to go off air in the first week of June, making way for the new Sharad Kelkar-starrer Tum Se Tum Tak.

When Downtown Mirror Weekly reached out to Rohit Suchanti, the male lead of the show, he responded candidly, “Although we’ve been informed that the show might wrap up, we haven’t received any official confirmation yet.”

Rumours suggest that the abrupt decision could stem from budget constraints and creative differences.

Addressing these speculations, Rohit Suchanti stated, “I don’t know much about that. I’m sure it’s the channel’s call. We aren’t aware of what exactly went down internally. It would be very unfortunate if this is actually happening.”

While the cast and crew must naturally feel disheartened at the thought of the long-running show, which premiered in August 2021, ending after four successful years, Rohit Suchanti chooses to focus on the positives. He shared, “I honestly see it in a very happy and fulfilling light. For four years, we’ve given our best to this show. At a time when shows barely last six months, Bhagya Lakshmi has stood tall—delivering over 1,350 episodes. That’s a massive achievement.”

Rohit Suchanti added with pride, “Even if the show does end, we will be signing off as the number one show on the channel. The sad part is, despite being at the top, we’re still going off air—but we’re going out on a high, and that counts for something.”

Earlier this month, seasoned actress Smita Bansal, popular for her portrayal of Neelam Oberoi in Bhagya Lakshmi, exited the show.
