Jagriti: Ek Nayi Subah actor Titiksha Shrivastava believes scrolling on social media has now become more exhausting than entertaining.
She said, “Scrolling has become a reflex rather than a choice. We seek comfort, not connection.”
“The irony is that we’re more connected than ever, yet lonelier within the feed. I think real connection now requires intention, not just interaction. It’s about creating spaces online that still feel human,” she added.
While the Instagram algorithm often pushes similar content, she mentioned that it’s like a mirror. Titiksha Shrivastava said, “They reflect what we engage with most, not what we actually need.”
She further mentioned that they feed our habits instead of expanding our horizons. Titiksha Shrivastava added, “That’s why discovery feels so narrow today. True creativity can’t thrive in a loop. The day algorithms evolve to reward curiosity, fatigue will fade.”

Titiksha Shrivastava also stressed that the audience now wants more meaningful, real, and slower content as opposed to quick, viral clips. She said, “The human mind is tired of instant gratification. People are craving pause, perspective, and presence. There’s a shift towards mindful storytelling, something that moves you, not just amuses you.”
“The next wave of creators, I believe, will be those who choose depth over speed,” Titiksha Shrivastava added.
Asked how she sees social media evolving, she said, “I think it’s going to be a reinvention, but a conscious one. Every era of saturation births a new language of expression.”
“The next phase of social media will, hopefully, be slower, more meaningful, and emotionally intelligent. Detox won’t come from logging out; it’ll come from how mindfully we log in,” Titiksha Shrivastava concluded.
