Shagun Singh On The Sudden End Of Her Show Sajan Ji Ghar Aaye Family Kyun Sharmaye: It Hit Me Hard at First

When an actress signs up for a new show, she naturally hopes for its success and longevity, expecting it to run for months, if not years. However, in today’s unpredictable television industry, where daily soaps come and go within a matter of months, such expectations have become increasingly challenging. The latest casualty is Sajan Ji Ghar Aaye Family Kyun Sharmaye, starring Shagun Singh and Simba Nagpal, which has come to an abrupt end after airing for just four weeks. The show, which premiered on February 24, aired its final episode today.

In a conversation with Downtown Mirror Weekly, Shagun Singh shared her thoughts on the sudden and unexpected ending of the show. She said, “The last episode was telecast today, and we wrapped up the shooting just last week. It’s hard to believe that a show can end so soon, especially after just four weeks, and that too because of the TRPs. Normally, shows don’t end like this and there seems to be something more behind it. Although the exact reason for the abrupt termination remains unclear, I’ve heard there were disagreements between the channel and Rashmi Sharma Production House, which might have led to the show’s premature closure.”

Opening up about her personal feelings, Shagun Singh admitted, “When I first heard the news, I was deeply saddened. I took it to heart. When I commit to a show, I give it my all, and I consider it my own. It was tough to digest that my show was going to end in just four weeks. I work hard to make sure my shows succeed, and it’s painful when things don’t go as planned. Every member of the cast worked incredibly hard, and we truly connected with the audience. Unfortunately, some things are beyond our control. In our industry, people know that the fate of a show is never decided because of the actors.”

Despite the disappointment, Shagun Singh remains optimistic about the future. “When things like this happen, we can’t dwell on them. I believe everything happens for a reason, and a better opportunity is waiting for me. I’m grateful for the experience I gained from this show. The cast was wonderful, and I learned a lot. It’s okay. I believe in God, and I trust that everything happens for the best,” she said.
