After a two-year break from television, Sheen Dass was all set to make her return with Aami Dakini, a horror series that marked her debut in the genre. Fans eagerly awaited the show, which was slated to premiere on February 24. However, celebrations for the much-anticipated premiere have been put on hold for the time being as the show’s launch has been postponed indefinitely.
According to sources, production for Aami Dakini had kicked off in full swing in January in Kolkata. Sheen had relocated there with the team to complete a schedule. Despite the initial momentum, the show’s premiere has now been delayed. “The show is not scrapped,” says a unit member, “but the channel is looking for a more suitable time to launch it. There’s no confirmed date yet for when it will air. We understand that the delay is due to scheduling conflicts and the channel wanting to ensure the show gets the right amount of attention.”

Aami Dakini tells the story of a woman trapped in limbo, waiting for her lost husband for decades, caught between the realms of life and death. As she reappears, determined to find him, the series promises an intriguing mix of supernatural elements, mystery, and betrayal, all entwined in an ancient prophecy.
Sheen, who has previously appeared in shows like Silsila Pyaar Ka, Piyaa Albela, Papa By Chance, and Indiawaali Maa, was excited to return to the small screen with Aami Dakini after her cameo in Katha Ankahee two years ago. Her portrayal of a complex, supernatural character in Aami Dakini was meant to be a new chapter in her career, one that marked her venture into the horror genre.
On a personal note, the actress has been busy with her new life. In April 2023, she married actor-model Rohan Rai in an intimate ceremony in Kashmir. With her professional comeback postponed, Sheen is focused on her new chapter, both personally and professionally, awaiting the right moment to return to TV screens.
