Farrhana Bhatt’s body-shaming remarks against Shehbaz Badesha have sparked widespread backlash from viewers and celebrities alike.
Shehbaz’s girlfriend, Kashish, has condemned the incident and urged the makers to take strict action against Farhana for her repeated offensive behaviour.
The latest episode of Bigg Boss 19 sparked outrage after contestant Farhana Bhatt made body-shaming comments about Shehbaz Badesha, mocking his appearance and calling him names like “bald” and “genda.” The incident unfolded during a disagreement over household duties inside the house.
The argument began when Farrhana refused to complete her assigned task of washing utensils. Shehbaz, stepping in to remind her of her responsibility, asked her not to create unnecessary drama just for attention. He further said that if he were the captain, he would have ensured proper discipline and made both Farrhana and Tanya Mittal follow the rules.
However, instead of addressing his point, Farhana lashed out at him personally, saying, “Tu fake hai, tere sir pe baal nahi… genda hai tu genda.” Her remarks immediately drew criticism from viewers, many of whom felt she had crossed a line. Even captain Amaal Mallik, who shares a good rapport with Shehbaz, condemned her behavior and supported him during the situation.
The incident quickly went viral on social media, with fans calling out Farhana for her derogatory comments. What added to the controversy was the silence of other housemates, who did not intervene or condemn her remarks at that moment.
Outside the house, Shehbaz’s girlfriend, Kashish, came forward to express her anger and disappointment over the incident. In a statement, she questioned the lack of accountability and the hypocrisy surrounding the issue of body shaming.
She said, “Everyone talks about standing up against body shaming, but when it actually happens inside the Bigg Boss house, no one takes a stand. Today, when Shehbaz was being insulted and called names like ‘baal nakli’ and ‘genda,’ not a single contestant spoke up.”
Kashish also pointed out that while Shehbaz is strong enough to handle such situations, the constant humiliation he faces on national television is unacceptable. “Whether he can take it or not doesn’t matter, what matters is maintaining respect. This repeated behavior shouldn’t be ignored,” she added.
She further appealed to Bigg Boss and Salman Khan to take strict action against Farhana during Weekend Ka Vaar, highlighting that this was not the first time the contestant had been warned for inappropriate comments. “Even after repeated warnings, she continues to behave the same way. It’s shameful how low she’s willing to go for attention,” Kashish concluded.
The episode has reignited discussions about respect, boundaries, and the responsibility contestants hold while being part of a national television show watched by millions.
