She says, “Angoori Bhabhi isn’t just a character to me—she’s an emotion. Over the years, I’ve laughed with her, cried with her, and lived through her. She has become a part of my soul.”
But Shubhangi Atre brought her own charm to the role, earning immense love from fans across the country. “Initially, there was a lot of pressure because the audience had already connected with the character. But I chose to bring my own flavor to Angoori, keeping her innocence and warmth intact,” she explains.
Known for her iconic dialogue “Sahi pakde hain!”, Shubhangi Atre says the affection from viewers keeps her going. “When people call me Angoori Bhabhi even off-screen, I feel proud. It means I’ve done justice to the role. This character has given me so much love, and I will always be grateful for it,” she says.
Despite her busy shooting schedule, the actress reveals that she still finds joy in performing each scene. Shubhangi Atre says, “Every day on set feels fresh. Comedy is the toughest genre, but also the most fulfilling. Making people laugh is a beautiful gift.”
