Indian Batter Shubman Gill has been appointed as the captain of the Indian team for the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe. This decision comes in the absence of Rohit Sharma, who is presumably unavailable for this series.
Gill had initially traveled to the USA as a reserve player for India’s T20 World Cup squad but was later released from the squad before the latter stages of the tournament. This move allowed him to return and now lead the team in the upcoming series against Zimbabwe.
