Srikant Dwivedi: Health Is The Foundation For Everything Else In Life

For Srikant Dwivedi, who played the lead role in Lakshmi Narayan and currently portrays Lord Vishnu in the mythological show Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyag Tandav, health isn’t just a routine — it’s a priority. Despite his hectic schedule, he makes it a point to stay active and eat clean, believing that good health is the foundation for everything else in life.

Srikant Dwivedi shares, “To take care of my health, I try to prioritise it. I do my best to stay fit by going to the gym, running, or even doing basic exercises at home if I can’t make it to the gym. Sometimes, because of my busy work schedule, I can’t step out, so I work out at home or create a small space for exercise on set.”

Srikant Dwivedi also focuses heavily on his diet. “Another important thing I do for my health is eating healthy. I try to eat food that is nutritious and rich in protein. I avoid junk food as much as possible, though I do have cravings once in a while. Maybe once a week or once in two weeks, I allow myself to eat something indulgent. But otherwise, I make sure my diet stays healthy,” he adds.

Reflecting on the importance of wellness, Srikant Dwivedi shares, “I recently read that when we’re healthy, we give more importance to things like work pressure, deadlines, and competition. Health takes a backseat. But the moment we face a health issue, everything else becomes secondary. That’s why I believe it’s crucial to take care of our health and make it our top priority. Only when we are healthy does everything else — work, success, life — fall into place.”

Srikant Dwivedi also emphasizes the need to slow down in today’s fast-paced world. He shares, “We need to sit, breathe, and take life a little easy. I believe that 80 to 90 percent of the problems we face are just in our minds — they’re not even happening. People often worry, ‘What if this happens?’ and that creates unnecessary stress. And honestly, I’m not preaching — I go through the same thing. Many times, I overthink situations that haven’t even happened. That’s why it’s so important to slow down, relax, and just breathe.”

Srikant Dwivedi concludes by saying that small lifestyle changes can make a big difference. He says, “Taking a day off, doing nothing, or spending time with family really helps keep our mind healthy and our body balanced. And yes, we should include some kind of physical activity in our daily routine, whether it’s yoga, gym, running, or whatever works best for us.”
