He observes, “In modern television, even if women initially face challenges, they emerge as strong individuals who make their own decisions, shape their futures, and own their choices. This is how drama works — through struggles that make triumphs more meaningful. This isn’t just true for women; men too go through challenges and overcome them. It’s the essence of storytelling that viewers connect with.”
He also points out that television shows today often revolve around women, portraying them as the central power of the family and society. Over time, the portrayal of women has shifted dramatically. He notes, “Earlier, women were often shown as timid and constantly relying on male figures. Today, women in TV shows are shown making decisions and navigating challenges with strength and independence. This shift reflects the evolving real-world dynamics and is a positive change.”

As an actor, he sees it as his responsibility to encourage respect and dignity for women. He says, “I believe in ensuring that the women around me, whether at home or on set, are treated with respect, kindness, and consideration. Respect is a core value that should be extended to all individuals.”
Social media, according to Srikant, has played a crucial role in amplifying women’s voices. He explains, “Women are using social media as a platform to express their thoughts and opinions freely. It’s helped them gain visibility and support in ways that weren’t possible before. Though there are challenges, the majority of women are using this platform for good — whether it’s raising awareness or inspiring others.”
When speaking about the women who inspire him, he reflects on the superwomen in his own life. “My mother was the strength of our home, who managed our large joint family. She worked tirelessly every day from morning till midnight. She is the epitome of strength and resilience, and I have never seen a stronger woman in my life. My sister is another example of a superwoman. She balanced school, household chores, and excelled academically — her dedication and strength have always inspired me,” he says.
