Paridhi Sharma, widely adored for her iconic portrayal of Jodha in Jodha Akbar and currently seen as Eram in Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam’s thriller Haq, is not just winning hearts with her performance, she is also sparking meaningful conversations about life, balance and mindful living. In an age driven by trends and excess, Paridhi’s voice stands out for its simplicity and depth.

Speaking about the philosophy she believes India must return to, Paridhi shares, “Embrace the beautiful philosophy of Indian society, simple living, high thinking, and being self-assured.” For her, mindful living begins with kindness, towards oneself and towards the environment. She reflects on how we are rapidly drifting into a culture of unchecked consumption, saying, “The way we are going blindly behind consumerism with no pause or limit, minimalism brings a sense of sanity.”
Paridhi points out the environmental crisis that stems from excessive consumption, reminding people that the rising temperatures, worsening city conditions and growing health issues are a direct result of greed. “It is literally killing the Earth,” she says, stressing that this is becoming a serious threat to life.
For the actress, the shift must start from within. She believes self-worth and self-assurance are at the core of meaningful living. “If we don’t believe we are enough, we will never feel complete,” she says. To her, success has nothing to do with material accumulation. “Success means sleeping well and living a life of value, not only for yourself, but for humanity and the environment.”

Citing Mahatma Gandhi, she reminds people how limitless human greed can be, and how consumerism feeds that mindset. Paridhi recalls a time before the trend-driven frenzy of today, saying that terms like “airport look” didn’t even exist. “Suddenly, due to social media, our lifestyle has changed. We have begun presenting ourselves like every moment is a fashion show,” she adds. Paridhi herself avoids such trends, preferring authenticity over performative dressing.
She worries about how capitalism and social media subtly push people to “possess more” and “show more,” often at the cost of mental health and environmental well-being. “We are increasingly harming our planet with this excessive nature of possession,” she says.
As Eram in Haq, Paridhi is exploring intense emotional depths on screen. Off-screen, she continues to advocate for a life rooted in mindfulness, simplicity and purpose. With a growing fanbase and a compelling perspective, Paridhi Sharma is not only shaping narratives on television and film, but also inspiring people to rethink the narrative of their own lives.
