Ahead of its premiere on 18th August at 9 PM on Sony SAB, Itti Si Khushi is already creating buzz with its heartfelt narrative and the compelling portrayal of Anvita Divekar, played by Sumbul Touqeer Khan. The show follows Anvita’s journey as a determined young woman who carries the weight of her family’s struggles with quiet strength and resilience.
While filming one of the emotional sequences, Sumbul was reminded of a very personal memory that closely paralleled her character’s story. Raised by a single parent, Sumbul often stepped into a motherly role for her younger sister, Saniya, becoming her guide and emotional anchor.

A scene in which Anvita helps her younger sister with homework sparked a wave of nostalgia, taking Sumbul back to the many moments when Saniya would seek her opinion on everything—just like a child looks to their mother for approval.
Wanting to share this emotional connection with her fans, Sumbul posted on Instagram:
“Some scenes have a way of blurring the lines between reel and real. While filming a scene for Itti Si Khushi as Anvita, where I’m teaching and helping my sibling with homework, I was instantly reminded of how my real younger sister, Saniya, would always turn to me for the smallest decisions — much like a child seeking their mother’s nod.”
