Ishika Shahi’s web series Jabb Zodiacs Met, which has been produced by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut Production and streams on their official YouTube channel, is making a lot of noise, and for all the right reasons. The first episode of the series went live on January 16 and revolves around the zodiac sign Aries.
It features Viplove Sharma in the role of Lucky, and the actor shared that he was quite intrigued by the concept. Though he was initially unaware of the idea behind the show, he was hooked on it when it was revealed to him.
He said, “When I was auditioning for the show, I had no idea what the show was about. When I was finally locked and got to know that the show is based on zodiac signs and that my sign is Leo, I found it very intriguing.”
“As an actor, you usually build a character based on background, status, lifestyle, or where the person comes from. But you don’t normally think of a zodiac sign. So the idea that a personality can be shaped around astrology felt fresh and original. I haven’t seen any show like this before, so I was quite excited to be part of it,” Viplove Sharma added.
While he doesn’t believe in astrology, he did some groundwork just for the show. Viplove Sharma said, “I am not a big believer in astrology or zodiac signs. So for the sake of the character, I had to start from scratch. I researched Vedic astrology, Eastern astrology, and Western astrology. While doing this, I did find some similarities between me and my character, Lucky.”
Sharing the similarities that he resonated with his character, Viplove Sharma said, “Lucky is very protective about his friends and family. Whenever he sees them in trouble, he steps in as a problem solver, and his leadership qualities come out strongly. That is something I relate to. He is also very loyal and doesn’t really care about what people think of him and that’s something I share with him too.”
“When it comes to Lucky, the first word that comes to my mind is “chilled out”. He has a pure heart, takes strong initiative, and is very bold. Overall, I see him as a leader. Leadership is his strongest trait. In real life, I like to think of myself as a fighter — someone who keeps going no matter what,” Viplove Sharma added.
If the stars could guide his next role, he would want to play one that is rooted in his childhood influence. Viplove Sharma said, “This might sound funny, but I have been a huge anime fan since childhood, and I still watch live action anime movies Dragon Ball, Death Note, and Naruto have always inspired me.”
“My dream is to play both a protagonist and an antagonist in a live-action anime because anime characters are written with so much depth. That’s something I would really love to explore in the future. As for Jabb Zodiacs Met, I am also very curious to see how Lucky’s life moves ahead — what happens to his love story and his future,” Viplove Sharma ended.
