Titiksha Shrivastava: Diwali Is The Most Magical Blend Of Tradition, Togetherness, & New Beginnings

Titiksha Shrivastava opens up about what Diwali means to her celebrating it with simplicity, sustainability, and gratitude.

She also reflects on a turning point in her life that felt like her own Diwali, when light finally overcame darkness.

Diwali is round the corner, and actress Titiksha Shrivastava, currently seen in Jagriti: Ek Nayi Subah, is looking forward to celebrating it with warmth and intention. For her, Diwali isn’t just a festival, it’s an emotion.

She said, “It’s that sacred moment when light and faith hold hands. Every diya I light feels like a promise to myself, a promise that no darkness lasts forever. Diwali, to me, is the most magical blend of tradition, togetherness, and new beginnings. It’s that one time of the year when the world slows down, and hearts glow a little brighter.”

Titiksha prefers celebrating the festival at home. Sharing details of her Diwali routine, she said, “I love celebrating it quietly with my family, surrounded by the warmth of our own space. That night, we don’t step out because we believe you don’t leave Goddess Lakshmi alone once she’s welcomed into your home.”

“After the Pooja, we light diyas in every corner, eat homemade sweets, and sit together in the soft golden glow. Honestly, that peaceful togetherness feels grander than any big party,” she added.

For Titiksha, the true spirit of Diwali lies in lighting lives not just lamps. She explained,

“Over the years, I’ve become more mindful of how we celebrate, our Mother Earth deserves that respect. I’ve completely stopped bursting crackers. Instead, I use eco-friendly diyas, organic rangoli colors, and natural décor like flowers and terracotta lamps.”

“I even share sweets with my building staff and feed stray animals around my home. These small acts add a sense of joy that feels far more fulfilling and far more luminous,” she said.

Diwali, she believes, is about light overcoming darkness and that belief resonates deeply with her personal journey. She shared,

“There was a time when I truly believed my acting dream had ended. I was stuck in a 9-to-5 corporate job in Mumbai, safe, but not alive. I had almost accepted that maybe my story would never unfold on screen. But passion has a strange way of finding you again. One day, it just broke me free and I found myself in front of the camera again, this time as a lead in a television show. That was my Diwali moment when the light finally won over the darkness.”
