“This day is for all the women out there and even for our elders who carried generational pain so that today’s women could move forward and achieve something,” she says. According to her, “Our journey has been long so far, but there is still a long path ahead.”
According to her, Women’s Day is a reminder of the strength women carry in every role they take on in life. “This is a day that celebrates how women can do everything — from giving birth to a human life to standing up for what is right. It is a powerful message, a thought, and a sacred pause to celebrate every woman out there,” she adds.
Pooja also highlights how the meaning of empowerment has evolved over time. While earlier it meant proving one’s abilities in a male-dominated world, she believes that today empowerment has taken on a deeper and more personal meaning. “Earlier, empowerment meant proving our capabilities in a male-dominated world. Today, it is about defining strength in our own way. An empowered woman today knows her value and worth without needing validation from anyone,” she explains.
Emotional, Spiritual, and Financial Awareness Among Modern Women
She further notes that empowerment today is not limited to social or professional spaces but extends to emotional, spiritual, and financial independence. According to her, “Women today are evolving with greater emotional, spiritual, and financial awareness. She seeks financial independence not just for survival but for self-respect and freedom,” she says.
Drawing from her experience as a healer, Pooja emphasizes the importance of inner healing in the journey toward empowerment. ““From my perspective as a healer, empowerment begins with self-awareness and inner strength. When a woman heals her own wounds and learns to face her struggles, she emerges even stronger than before,” she shares.
Why Equality and Opportunity Still Matter for Women
Pooja also believes that modern women are shifting from control-driven approaches to living with greater awareness and consciousness. “Today’s women work with consciousness rather than control. They are more aware of their emotional and spiritual well-being,” she adds.
However, she also stresses that true equality still requires social change. “I feel that women should not always be the ones expected to sacrifice. They must be given equal rights and opportunities,” she says.
Concluding her thoughts, Pooja expresses hope for a future where equality becomes a natural reality rather than something women have to demand. “The true significance of Women’s Day will be realised when women don’t have to fight for equal rights because equality already exists.” she concludes.
