Worship Khanna reflects on the deep emotional impact of losing his father, sharing heartfelt memories and the lasting sense of his presence. Despite the pain, he cherishes their bond through childhood moments and shared experiences like watching Bigg Boss.
His father might not be physically with him anymore, but actor Worship Khanna says that he can often feel his presence and protection around him. The actor, who is currently seen in the show Pati Brahmachari, says that losing his father has been very tough on him.
Worship Khanna, who has been part of shows like Kumkum Bhagya, and Ishq Subhan Allah, says, βI believe that just having a father in your life is a huge strength. A fatherβs presence gives you courage. Unfortunately, my dad is no more. I lost him some time ago. So, I truly understand what it means to live without a father. His absence still feels like a void. Itβs very painful because when you donβt have a father, your confidence and strength can feel very low. You feel vulnerable, as if thereβs no one there to support or back you up. When your father is around, even if he doesnβt do anything, you still feel protected. You feel like, no matter what happens in life, whether you fall or break down, you can just call your dad and heβll make everything okay. Sadly, even today I have my dadβs number saved in my phone, but when I call that number, no one picks up. Thatβs the hardest part. In fact, in todayβs time, we hardly remember any phone numbers. But thereβs only one number in the entire world that I still remember by heart, and that is my dadβs number.β
Sharing his childhood memories with his dad, Worship Khanna says, βOne of my favorite memories is from when I was going on a school trip to Kullu Manali and Shimla. Just as the school bus was about to leave, my dad came to meet me. I was sitting by the bus window, and from outside, he kept handing me small packets of my favorite snacks like kaju katli, sweets, and some money. Though it lasted only four days, it was my first journey without my family by my side. That moment carried a special meaning in my life. I witnessed a depth of affection, worry, and tenderness in his gaze that left a lasting impression.β
Recalling another memory, Worship Khanna shares, βOnce, I was admitted to the hospital because of a kidney stone. He came to see me and sat beside me, remembering an old childhood moment. He said, ‘Even when you were a baby and had to be on a drip, you wouldnβt stay stillβyou danced on the hospital bed! Youβre still doing the same’.β
Worship Khanna adds, βWe loved watching Bigg Boss together. He was a hardcore news watcher, and Bigg Boss was our fun time. After the episodes, we used to discuss everything about the show. Even when I was in Mumbai and he was elsewhere, weβd still talk about the episodes over the phone.β
