Star Plus’ long-running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has taken a major seven-year leap, introducing new emotional twists and fresh drama. Post-leap, the narrative follows Armaan (played by Rohit Purohit) and Abhira (played by Samridhii Shukla), who are now separated but continually brought together by fate.
In the current track, Armaan returns to Udaipur. While it appears that life has moved on for him, complications remain. He is now engaged to Gitanjali (played by Ruheen Ali Khan) and hiding a crucial truth from Abhira—that their daughter, Pookie aka Maira (played by Urva Rumani), is alive. Despite knowing the truth, Armaan chooses to keep her in the dark, primarily because Gitanjali fears losing Maira.
In order to protect the secret, Armaan convinces Abhira to let go of their shared history. Wounded by his rejection and convinced their story is over, Abhira decides to move forward and accepts Anshuman’s (played by Rahul Sharma) proposal. This decision sets off a new chain of events, with both families beginning preparations for the engagement.
But the story takes an unexpected romantic turn in the next episode.
As Abhira travels in an auto-rickshaw, Armaan suddenly stops the vehicle. In a dramatic and emotional moment, he pulls her out and starts dancing with her in the middle of the road.
To everyone’s surprise, Armaan then goes down on one knee and confesses, “I love you, Abhira,” leaving her shocked and overwhelmed by the sudden outpouring of emotion.
Armaan’s emotional confession sparks speculation—could he finally come clean about Maira’s existence? Could this emotional confession rekindle their relationship, or will the weight of hidden secrets destroy any hope of reconciliation?
