Actress Yesha Harsora, who is currently playing Tapasya in Jagadhatri, speaks about India’s 77th Republic Day celebrations.
Yesha Harsora says, “I feel proud of our country. To me, India stands as a nation that respects democracy, diversity, and unity despite all our differences. We are constantly growing, learning, and moving forward while holding on to our core values. I feel this is one of the most beautiful things about our country compared to many others.”
Talking about her childhood memories, she adds, “Some of my most cherished Republic Day memories are waking up early to watch the Republic Day parade on television with my family. Singing patriotic songs at school and feeling excited while holding the tricolour were definitely highlights. Those days were simple yet filled with immense pride. Even in our housing society, we would have flag hoisting ceremonies and sports activities. From children to adults, everyone participated wholeheartedly.”
She says that what resonates with her most about the country is how countless traditions, languages, and backgrounds coexist while people continue to stand united as one nation. Yesha Harsora adds, “Our rich history and values teach us respect, tolerance, and togetherness. Besides all this, I absolutely love the festivals we celebrate, they truly bring everyone together.”
