Renowned television actress Sangeeta Kapure has officially joined the Republican Party of India (RPI), led by Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, in a grand event held in Delhi today. Her entry into politics was met with great enthusiasm from party members and supporters.
In a significant move, Sangeeta Kapure will also be joining the Women’s Wing of RPI, led by Mrs. Seema Athawale, further strengthening the party’s focus on women’s empowerment and social reform.
Sangeeta Kapure started her career with Tamil, Telugu and Bhojpuri films, where she also worked with Ravi Kishan. She has also done a film in Marathi with Rajesh Shringarpure.
Known for her stellar performances in television shows like Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, Chotti Bahu, Mishri, Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein, Apna Time Bhi Aayega, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, Ramayan, Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev, Qubool Hai and Titli, Sangeeta Kapure has been a household name in the entertainment industry. Now, she has stepped into the political sphere, ready to use her platform for the betterment of society.

Speaking on this new journey, Sangeeta Kapure expressed her admiration for Ramdas Athawale’s leadership and Seema Athawale’s efforts in championing women’s rights, “I have always believed in standing up for important causes, and with RPI, I now have a platform to make a real difference in people’s lives, especially for women”, she said
