Disha Vakani took a break from the show in 2017 for maternity leave and has largely stayed away from the spotlight since then. In a recent interview, the show’s producer Asit Modi shared that Disha won’t be making a comeback, as she’s now a mother of two and wants to focus on her family life.
The actress also apparently distanced herself from social media and does not even have an active account.
Recently, the actress’ fans were up for a sweet surprise when a video of Disha Vakani went viral on social media. In the video, she can be heard revealing the tale of her daughter’s birth, shedding light on how the Gayatri Mantra became her source of strength during that time.
In the video, Disha Vakani talks about parenting and how smoothly she delivered her daughter. She said, “I became a mother for the first time, and I heard that becoming a mother is a beautiful experience, but the delivery process is very painful. While taking a parenting course, someone mentioned that as a mother, I shouldn’t scream during childbirth, as it could frighten the baby. I held onto that advice and chose to chant the Gayatri Mantra instead. I delivered my baby while smiling. Throughout the process, I kept chanting the Gayatri Mantra in my mind and remained joyful. And that’s how my daughter, Stuti, came into this world.”
As soon as the video caught the public eye, netizens were shocked to see Disha Vakani’s transformation after becoming a mother of two. She appeared nearly unrecognisable in the video.
