The all new Renault Duster has been revealed and it is the return of this SUV which had put Renault on the map. Based on a new generation platform, the new Duster is engineered for multiple powertrains including a hybrid variant.
The new Renault Duster will be on sale from April and prices for the new Duster would be revealed from March. However, you would be able to buy the hybrid variant from Diwali only.
The all new Renault Duster dimensions include a length of 4346mm while it has a wheelbase of 2657mm. The new Duster comes with full LED lighting and has a silver skid plate as well with a boxy look.
At the side you get 18inch wheels and 212mm ground clearance as well while the rear has a distinctive tail-lamp design. To be available in many colours, the new Duster has a more adventurous design and aims to bring back the old Duster vibes.
Open the door and inside, the new Renault Duster has a large touchscreen which is joined together with a digital instrument cluster. The new Duster has a logical layout of the centre console while there are enough storage spaces too. There is also a small gear lever for the dual clutch automatic version.
Upfront you would be able to adjust the seat with a 6 way adjust while there is a ventilation function as well. Passengers will like the fact that the new Renault Duster has a panoramic sunroof and features like ADAS including 17 features plus a 6 speaker audio system, dual zone climate control, air purifier, electric parking brake and more. Buyers will have access to an electric tailgate opening function too and the huge 700l boot.
Renault Duster is offering online petrol engines with no diesel while it does give a strong hybrid engine. The base engine is a 1.0l with 100 bhp and that’s only available with a manual gearbox. The 1.3l turbo petrol meanwhile has an automatic and a manual gearbox too with 163ps and 280Nm. The strong hybrid engine combines a 1.8l engine with a couple of electric motors for 160bhp. Expect this to be the most fuel efficient variant.
Renault will price the new Renault Duster aggressively as it will target the popular Hyundai Creta and the Tata Sierra plus others. In that sense, the new Duster is well equipped and smart looking too while having its own different appeal. Expect prices to come in a few days time leading to the deliveries being started.
