Ridhima Rampal, who was earlier seen in Dilan De Rishtey and has done a few short films, is currently seen as Preeti in Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey’s Tu Juliet Jatt Di, which is produced under their banner Dreamiyata Entertainment. The story of the show felt quite refreshing to her, and she found her character very authentic.
Talking about what drew her to the show, she said, “The moment I read the script, I felt an instant connection. It had the perfect blend of romance, rooted culture, humor, and emotional intensity. The character was written with such authenticity that it almost felt like a real person, not just a fictional creation. The story had a warmth and freshness that made me say yes immediately.”

She confessed that she relates to Preeti and said, “She has a strong emotional core, and I love the way she loves deeply and stands by her family.”
However, she mentioned that it is quite different from the roles she has portrayed before. She said, “Unlike my previous characters, who were more smart and negative, this one has a fiery Punjabi spirit, unpredictable and full of emotion. That contrast made it an exciting challenge for me.”
She also revealed that the viewers will be surprised by the unexpected layers of her character. She said, “At first, they may appear straightforward, but as the story deepens, their vulnerability, strength, and emotional struggles come to the surface. There are twists in their journey that will definitely keep the audience hooked and emotionally invested.”
And playing the role did not come easy. She did some special preparations for her role. She said, “I prepared quite intensely. I attended dialect sessions to get the Punjabi accent and rhythm perfect for my character. We had character-building workshops where we explored emotional arcs and behavior patterns. I also did some physical preparation, especially for the more energetic scenes, to bring authenticity to the character’s personality and lifestyle.”
Ridhima believes that the show stands out from other shows because it blends a heartfelt love story with the raw charm of Punjabi culture. She added, “The narrative is modern yet rooted, emotional yet entertaining. The characters are real, flawed, and relatable, not just typical TV prototypes. It brings a fresh flavor with its humour, music, and strong cultural identity.”
She also expressed that the representation of family bonds, celebrations, language, and everyday humor resonated deeply with me. She said, “I loved how the show doesn’t exaggerate Punjabi culture but presents it in a heartfelt, realistic, and relatable manner. The warmth of joint families, the colors, the music, everything felt incredibly close to home.”
While concluding, she shared that working with the cast and crew has been a wonderful experience for her. “Everyone brought their own energy and dedication, which made the set extremely positive. Their performances constantly inspired me to push my own boundaries. We shared great chemistry, and that comfort helped me deliver more natural and emotionally honest scenes,” Ridhima ended.
