I Loved Portraying Avani & Proud Of What We’ve Created”, Says Rajashree Thakur Vaidya As Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Ends Next Month

Despite the hopes of Rajashree Thakur Vaidya’s fans for her show Bas Itna Sa Khwaab to defy the off-air rumors, the inevitable has happened. The show wrapped up shooting just a few days ago, leaving viewers with a sense of longing. In a candid conversation, Rajashree Thakur Vaidya’ spoke about her journey with the show, sharing her perspective on its unique concept and her experience playing the character of Avani Trivedi.

Reflecting on the show’s distinctiveness, Rajashree Thakur Vaidya expressed her satisfaction with being part of something different from the typical TV drama. “I was very satisfied because it was unlike anything else,” she said, adding, “The way we started, the way our scenes were structured, and the concept itself were fresh and unique. I was personally very happy with my character, the storyline, and everything around it. It wasn’t just another drama — it was a day-to-day portrayal of the dreams and struggles of a married couple. The focus was on what it takes to navigate these struggles, and that really resonated with me.”

Rajashree Thakur Vaidya also pointed out how Avani’s character stood out. “She’s not a typical poor girl; she reacts intelligently and still holds the family together. We moved away from the typical mother-in-law and daughter-in-law dynamics, which are so common on television.”

While Rajashree Thakur Vaidya acknowledged the show’s potential to go off-air, she stressed that such decisions were ultimately in the hands of the channel. “If the show does go off-air, the decision lies with the channel,” she explained, adding, “Sometimes, the audience’s connection to the show isn’t direct, and there are various factors that the channel considers. We, as actors, simply do our job, and I’m truly happy with the work I’ve done on this show.”

Rajashree Thakur Vaidya concluded, “I loved portraying Avani, and I’m proud of the scenes we’ve created. The work we did is special, and I’ll always cherish this experience.”
