Marathi actor Ayush Sanjeev makes his Hindi TV debut with Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, stepping into a powerful negative role. Known for his romantic leads, he now embraces a darker shade to challenge himself as an actor.
After exclusively revealing that Ajay Singh Chaudhary has joined the cast of Star Plus’ Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin as the new antagonist, we now have another exciting update. Marathi television actor Ayush Sanjeev has been finalised to play a significant negative role alongside Ajay in the upcoming storyline. This marks Ayush’s debut in Hindi television and his first-ever portrayal of a villain.
Ayush Sanjeev known for his lead roles in hit Marathi shows like Boss Majhi Ladachi and 36 Guni Jodi has quickly won over audiences with his charismatic on-screen presence. He will also be seen in the upcoming Marathi film Jabraat, slated for release in July this year. However, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin will showcase an entirely different side of the actor, as he steps into a darker, more intense character for the first time in his career.
Speaking exclusively to Downtown Mirror Weekly, Ayush Sanjeev confirmed the news, saying, “Yes, I’m making my Hindi television debut with Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, and it’s also my first time playing a negative role. I’m genuinely thrilled to embark on this exciting new chapter in my professional career.”
Ayush Sanjeev further revealed that although he received several offers for positive roles in Hindi serials, he chose to wait for the right opportunity to challenge himself. “In Marathi TV, I’ve mostly played the chocolate boy or good guy roles — romantic, easy-going characters. But when you’re playing a villain, the scope is vast. I deliberately turned down positive roles because I wanted to do something different,” he shared.
Ayush Sanjeev also added that his character in the show is violent and aggressive, a stark contrast to his real-life persona. “I’m actually a quiet and calm person. So playing this role is a real challenge, and as an actor, that excites me. I’m always looking to push boundaries.”
With this bold new step, Ayush Sanjeev is ready to leave a lasting impression on the Hindi television audience.
