After wrapping up Bhagya Lakshmi, Aishwarya Khare opens up about future roles she’d love to explore—especially comedy—and reflects fondly on her journey as Lakshmi.

After bidding farewell to Bhagya Lakshmi, where she portrayed the beloved title character Lakshmi, actress Aishwarya Khare is ready to embrace new challenges. Known for her grounded outlook, Aishwarya isn’t one to make rigid plans. Whether it’s taking a break or jumping straight into her next project, she prefers to go with the flow.
“I don’t really plan life like that,” Aishwarya Khare shares candidly, and adds, “I would love to continue working with whatever best opportunity comes my way.”
Although she doesn’t map out her future step-by-step, Aishwarya Khare does have a few roles in mind that she’d love to take on. Topping her wish list is a genre she’s never fully explored—comedy. “I’ve never done a light-hearted comic character, so that’s something on my list,” she says.
Aishwarya Khare adds, “I got a taste of it while playing baby Lakshmi in the show and really loved the experience. So, that’s something I look forward to.”
In a previous chat with us, Aishwarya Khare reflected on the conclusion of Bhagya Lakshmi, one of the longest-running shows from Balaji Telefilms. She expressed both gratitude and a sense of fulfilment as the journey came to an end.
“What keeps me going is the thought that all good things must eventually come to an end,” she had shared, and added, “Even though the show has wrapped up, Lakshmi will always be a part of me. I did feel a bit emotional, but more than anything, I’m grateful and happy that I got to portray Lakshmi in a show that received so much love globally. I wasn’t really disheartened—actually, I felt blessed to have been part of such an epic show.”
Sharing her biggest takeaways from the experience, Aishwarya Khare had added, “I made some really good friends for life because of the show. Playing Lakshmi allowed me to experience a wide range of emotions and situations within a single character, and I truly believe that journey will benefit me as I move forward in my career.”
