Saanand Verma is urging people to rethink their relationship with technology, stressing that the digital world, though influential, should never replace real emotional connection. The Masti 4 actor believes the mental-health challenges emerging from excessive social-media use demand immediate attention.
Saanand says platforms aren’t intentionally harmful, but their responsibility is undeniable. He says, “These companies earn so much from users, so they must prioritise the goodness and quality of human life over profit.”
He adds that technology, originally designed to simplify life, has quietly created emotional distance instead of connection.
He says, “Honestly, yes, in many ways, technology has become more of a bane than a boon.”

Despite being a public figure, Saanand maintains a healthy distance from digital noise, sharing content only sparingly. He shares, “Maybe I post one video a month and that too, for my fans who genuinely admire me.”
On the growing trend of people turning to AI and digital platforms for comfort, he takes a grounded view: “Emotional support can come from anywhere and that’s not necessarily wrong. If someone feels supported through AI, it’s okay.”
But he’s firm about what matters most. He says, “Real human connection still matters the most.”
For him, the path forward is simple: mindful usage, emotional balance and prioritising life offline. “Everything in moderation is good, but excess of anything becomes harmful,” he says, adding, “I believe in human connection, not algorithms.”
