EXCLUSIVE : Jhanak’s Kajal Pisal Hints Generational Leap Is On The Cards In The Show

Jhanak actress Kajal Pisal spoke about the buzz regarding generational leap in Jhanak and mentioned about the five-year leap that happened in the show recently.

Star Plus’ show Jhanak continues to captivate audiences growing more intriguing with every episode. The show has been in the news for a long time owing to the expected generational leap. The makers decided to extend the association of the lead actors of the show to shape-up the upcoming tracks of the show.

Jhanak makers recently opted for a five years leap after which Jhanak is shown being an authoritative leader of a village. Jhanak is working hard towards the betterment of the village.

Downtown Mirror Weekly contacted Kajal Pisal who plays the character of Tanuja in the show and asked her about the leap in the show. Kajal said, “The show has taken a five-years leap and the story has taken a fresh turn. A generational leap is set to take place by the end of this month.”

When asked if her character will undergo any changes, Kajal Pisal said, “Not really. With the time lapse, Tanuja’s character won’t undergo any major changes. She is still concerned about her son and his relationship with Arshi.”

We asked Kajal Pisal to give a message to all the fans who’re upset with Jhanak and Aniruddh’s separation. She said, “Yes, I understand that the fans are disappointed with the separation. However, if Jhanak and Anirudh get together easily, there will not be anything major left for the fans to look forward to in the show. I’d like to tell them to stay hooked on the show. It is not the end for them yet.”

Downtown Mirror Weekly exclusively reported that actress Shiny Doshi was in talks to take on the lead role in Jhanak following the generational leap. However, Doshi put down the offer as she preferred to start a new show rather than entering an established show.

Kajal Pisal told Downtown Mirror Weekly, “I don’t know how the news has spread. I did not even audition for it or did mock shoots. But, yes, I did get a call from a senior Casting Director asking me about the same, but I had to put down the offer because I don’t want to do a show post leap. I’d rather do a comeback on Television with a show that starts with me.”

Kajal Pisal added, “I love Star Plus and almost all my successful shows are on the same channel. The channel has been lucky for me. I got shows like Saraswatichandra and Pandya Store which went on for years. so, you know that the decision that I made wasn’t easy. It was a tough decision. Jhanak is a very nice show, however, getting a new Star Plus show from the beginning will be like a cherry on the cake.”
