Mohit Duseja Reflects on His Journey as Kapil in Naagin 7
“It is a wrap for me on Naagin 7, and what a ride,” says Mohit Duseja. “Fun-loving press owner by day, ex-Naag with a messy past by night. He’s all jokes on the surface, but that supernatural baggage gives him an intense edge he’s always hiding. That duality blindsided me. Nothing like my past roles.”
Kapil’s daily grind felt familiar. “I relate to Kapil 100 percent,” Mohit Duseja admits. “Middle-class means hard work plus small joys. Kapil’s grinding with printing-press bills by day, chasing his love life by night. That juggle is stressful, messy, but also kind of beautiful. I get that hustle. That’s the thrill.”
As for the big question, Mohit Duseja sets it straight. “He was a Naag,” he confirms. “Before our family got hit with the shraap, we were Naags of Naglok. Will Kapil hiss like a Naag again? Maybe. But you’ll need to find out in the finale.”
Mohit Duseja Hints at an Exciting Upcoming Project
The stint may have been brief, but the impact was not. “Joining was about value, not length, and it delivered,” Mohit Duseja says. “My inbox after wrap was very busy. Can’t say much, but I’ve already signed something new. Surprise drops soon. Turns out Naagin really is market gold.”
Then there were the fans. “Naagin fans don’t play. DMs were wild. Some I can’t repeat,” Mohit Duseja laughs. “The craziest IRL moment? I went to the washroom and got spotted. They rushed in for a selfie right there. It was super awkward, but also kind of hilarious. Memorable? 100 percent. This fandom’s energy is unmatched.”
With a finale pending and a new deal inked, Mohit Duseja leaves with a grin. “If Kapil taught me anything, it’s that the quietest guys often have the wildest secrets,” he signs off.
